Global Essential Services LLC Nurse Assistant Training Program prepares students for an entry-level job as a Nurse Assistant in long-term care facilities and hospitals.  Students will learn how to provide basic nursing care to residents and how to communicate effectively based on the psychosocial needs of residents and their families.  They will acquire the skills necessary to assist residents in attaining and maintaining maximum functional independence.  Students learn how to protect, support and promote the rights of residents and how to apply safety and preventative measures in the care of residents.  Additionally, they learn to function as an integral member of the health care team and how their skills and observations contribute to the overall health care system for long-term care facility residents.

To be accepted applicants for the Nurse Assistant Training Program must:

1. provide proof of completion of at least 8th Grade (transcript, diploma, home-schooling affidavit or other official documentation indicating grade completed),
   
2. be at least 18 years of age,
   
3. complete personal interview with the school director and
   
4. not be listed as unemployable on the Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR) or
   
5. not have been convicted of a criminal offense listed in the Texas Health and Safety Code §250.006
   

Prospective students shall not be denied admission on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, handicap, age, or veteran status, except where age, sex, or handicap constitutes a bona fide occupational qualification necessary to proper and efficient administration.
